Russell Stacy of Wooton, KY., formerly of Avawam, Ky. was born on March 7, 1954, he passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 61. Russell was born in Perry County, KY the son of the late French Stacy and the late Lucille Begley Stacy. By occupation he was a strip miner and heavy equipment operator and was co-owner of Leslie Resource.
Russell was affiliated with the Wooton Baptist Church and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. He enjoyed fishing, being on the lake, 4-wheelers, watching westerns, operating heavy equipment, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his young son. Russell was preceded in death by his parents: French and Lucille Stacy. He leaves surviving the following relatives: loving and devoted wife: Robin Renee Stacy of Hyden, KY, 2 sons: Tristan Jacob French Stacy of Hyden, KY, Rodney Scott Johnson & Amanda of Chavies, KY, 2 daughters: Kara Amber Stacy-Sowards of Hurricane, West VA, Kelsey Arden Stacy of Huricane, West VA., 1 sister: Sharon Combs of Avawam, KY, Father & Mother-In-Law: Kay & Irene Bowling of McIntosh, KY., 1 nephew: Joshua  Combs, 3 grandchildren: Lincoln Sowards, Nicholas Johnson and Ashley Feltner.
