Leona Napier

Mrs. Leona Napier, age 81, of Hyden, KY departed this life on Dec. 11, 2015 at the Greg & Noreen Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.  Leona was born at Thousandsticks, KY,on August 30, 1934 the daughter of the late Floyd Napier and the late Mary Sizemore Napier. By occupation was a homemaker and former employee of the Mary Breckinridge Hospital at Hyden, KY. Leona was a life-long resident of Leslie County and had been a devoted member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed flowers, cleaning the church, gardening and spending time with her family. Leona was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Mary Napier, two sons: Terry Lee and Dexter Helton, sister: Pauline Napier, three brothers: Estil, Raleigh, and Alamander Napier. She leaves surviving the following relatives: one son: Hamlin Napier & Shirley of  Hyden, KY, three daughters: Flora Ann Hensley & Elmer of Hyden, KY, Dorothy Couch & Tony of London, KY, Geneva Sizemore & Ricky Dale of Hyden, KY, ten grandchildren: Linda Hensley, Keith Hensley, Doug Hensley, Vicki McGuire, Candice Taylor, Chassidy Sizemore, Bucker Sizemore, Ryan Napier, Starla Helton, & Dexter Lee Helton. Also survived by 15 great-grandchildren. 3 nieces, Mary Lou Gibson, Martha Larabee, & Teresa Sizemore, one nephew: Clayton Napier.
