Mr. Elden Hoskins born October 13, 1925 departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was 90 years old. Elden was born at Wendover, Ky., the son of the late Boone Hoskins and Cordelia Cornett Hoskins. Elden was a U.S. Navy Veteran & served honorably in World War II. Elden spent his formative years in Leslie Co., and then moved to Dayton, Ohio where he retired from Chrysler Automotive. He relocated in Leslie Co. after his retirement and had been a resident for the past 40 years. He was self-employed in the construction business after his retirement. Elden was a member of the Church of God & was an avid fisherman. Mr. Elden Hoskins was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Calva Hoskins Roberts, Faye Hoskins Pace & two brothers; Homer Hoskins and John Brock. Mr. Elden Hoskins leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife; Ruby Bowling Hoskins, a son whom his raised as his own; Justin Hoskins of Hyden, Ky., one grandson whom he was a father to; David Hoskins of London, Ky., one daughter whom he was a father to; Tyna Feltner of Stinnett, Ky., one brother; Pearl Hoskins of North Carolina, three special grandsons; Brandon Feltner, Dean Hoskins, Travis Hoskins, one special granddaughter; Caitilyn Hoskins, two great grandchildren & a host of other treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
