Thelma Stevens

Thelma Stevens of Hyden, KY., passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Greg & Norene Wells Hospice Care Center at Hazard, KY. at the age of 70. She is the daughter of the late Oscar Stevens and Stella Hoover Stevens. She was a life long residence of Leslie County and by occupation she was a homemaker and caretaker. She was affiliated with the Rockhouse Baptist Church. She enjoyed Sewing, Cooking & Watching UK Basketball Games. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar & Stella Hoover Stevens. She leaves the following relatives surviving: Sister: Myrtle Marie Steven of Hyden, KY; Brother: John Henry Stevens of Hyden, KY; Special Friends: Susie Napier & Samantha Howard. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Thelma Stevens will be conducted on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY with Alfred Smith officiating, Burial following in the Samuel Roberts Cemetery, Hyden, KY.
