James Dudley Burton passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 58. James was born at Hyden, Ky the son of the late Dudley Burton and the late Ruth Lewis Burton. James was a retired coal miner, having worked in the mines for 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, four-wheeling as hobbies. He was affiliated with the Wooton Baptist church and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. James was preceded in death by his beloved parents Dudley & Ruth Burton, and one nephew: Michael Burton. He leaves surviving the following relatives: Loving Companion and mother of children: Judy Farmer of Stinnett, KY., one daughter: Heather Begley & Jeffery of Richlands, VA, one son; James Stephen Burton of Stinnett, Ky., one brother: Farris Burton & Valerie of Hyden, KY, two sisters: Kathyrn Pennington & Bill of Richmond, KY., Henrietta Burton & Jeff Bowling of Hyden, Ky., two grandchildren: Kaleb Begley, Noah Begley, & two nephews; Gustavo Alfaro & Joshua Alfaro. James is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
