Mrs. Clarinda Baker born November 8,1923 departed this life on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Ky., She was 92 years old. Clarinda was born at Greasy Creek in Leslie County, the daughter of the late John Cornett & Judith Harris. Clarinda was a homemaker & attended the TopHill Baptist Church, Keavy, Ky. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, working in her flowers & yard. She was very active in the community, volunteering at numerous churches & food banks. Clarinda had been a resident of Keavy, Ky. since 1984 having moved there from Ohio. Mrs. Clarinda Baker was preceded in death by her parents, loving and devoted husband, Jim Baker, two sons; James Baker, Alonzo Baker, one daughter, Ruth Romaker, & a host of brothers and sisters. Mrs. Clarinda Baker leaves the following relatives surviving: one daughter, Rita Francis & huaband, Tom of Keavy, Ky., one son; Otto Baker and wife, Pat of Big Laurel, Ky., ten grandchildren, Kim Boggs, Dianne Boggs, Kathy Turner, James Baker, Jr., Alonzo Baker, Jr., Tammy Myers, Candice Love, Billy Romaker, Terry Baker, Sherry Baker, & a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
