The obituary of Ida Belle Short Caldwell Officiating Ministers: Rev. Roy Napier, Rev. Jack Short & Graylan Short Mrs. Ida Belle Short Caldwell, age 90, of Helton, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 21, 1925 in Leslie County to the union of the late Wright Short and Matilda Saylor Short. By occupation she was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, flower gardening & spending time with her family. Ida was a member of the Rocky Point Holiness Church at Warbranch, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving and devoted husband: Millard T. Caldwell; two sisters: Stella Brock and Helen Caldwell and five brothers: Grant, Rufus, Pearl, Charlie and Henry. Great Granddaughter Audrey Renee. Mrs. Ida Belle Short Caldwell leaves the following relatives surviving: three sons: Hollis Caldwell & Phoebe of Helton, KY., Roger Caldwell & Karen of Gray, KY and Hurlis Caldwell & Zita of Bledsoe, KY.; two daughters: Frances Jackson & Charles of London, KY and Pamela Maggard & Wayne of Wooton, KY. 12 grandchildren: David M. Caldwell, Roger Neil Caldwell, Amy Marie Shields, James A. Caldwell, Andrew L. Caldwell, Brandon Scott Jackson, Doyle Wesley Jackson, Ida Gelania Caldwell, Hurlis Layne Caldwell, Eric Brian Caldwell, Janet Denise Sparks and Dana Wayne Caldwell; 19 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, a host of step-grandchildren and other relatives and friends survive.
