The Obituary for Mr. Raleigh Adams Officiating Minister: Tony Little Mr. Raleigh Adams of Cutshin, KY. was born on August 22, 1931 at Cutshin, Ky., the son of the late, Monroe Adams & Carrie Adams. He passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY at the age of 83. Raleigh was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. He was a graduate of Appalachian Bible Institute where he received his Pastoral license. He was a U.S. Veteran of the Korean War Combat. By occupation he was a retired coal miner having worked for Blue Diamond Coal Co. Raleigh was President of the Southern Labor Union. He was a member of the Cutshin Bible Church at Cutshin, KY. He enjoyed spending time with his family, wood-working, camping, 4-wheeling, going to Senior Citizens & sitting on his porch being outdoors. Raleigh was preceded in death by his parents, his loving & devoted wife, Mary Jane Adams, brothers, Logan & Homer Adams & sisters, Nell McConnell, Katie Joseph, Stella Williams & Effie Perkins He leaves the following relatives surviving, son, Richard Adams & Shannon, London, KY., daughter, Leah Pittman, Pawleys Island, South Carolina, 5 grandchildren, Drew Pittman, Raleigh Pittman, Brittany Wilson, Tori Adams & Ryanne Adams. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive. FUNERAL: Thursday, July 30, 2015 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Cutshin Bible Church at Cutshin, KY. with Military Rites performed by the Leslie County DAV Chapter #133 MINISTER: Tony Little INTERMENT: Adams Family Cemetery, (Long Branch Road), Cutshin, KY.
