The Obituary for Earl Smith Earl Smith of Essie, Ky., was born on October 30, 1941 at Roark, KY., the son of the late, Woodard Smith & the late Emily Napier Smith. He passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital in Hyden, KY. at the age of 73 years. Earl was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., by occupation he was a truck driver, diesel mechanic & school bus driver. He was affliated with the Bowens Creek Baptist Church at Essie, KY. Earl enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren & he also enjoyed ginsenging. Earl Smith was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Alexis Collett, sisters, Hazel Smith, Evelyn Smith & Laura Collett & brother, Frank Smith He leaves the following relatives surviving, companion of 32 years, Georgia Carol Collett, Essie, KY., son, Kenny Collett & Keisha, Hyden, KY., daughters, Daisy Lowe, Essie, KY. & Gina Collett, Essie, KY., brothers, Fred Smith, London, KY., Kenneth Smith, Eubank, KY. & Levi Jr. Smith, Roark, KY., Corbal Lee Smith, Asher, Ky; sisters, Annie & Marie, 5 grandchildren, Brittany Lowe, Tiffany Lowe, Shery Mattingly, Brayden Collett & Isaiah Collett, 4 great-grandchildren, Addison, Nataleigh, Gracelynn & Kassidy.
