The obituary of Mr. Martin Muncy Mr. Martin Muncy, born April 5, 1927 departed this life on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Hazard Health & Rehab Center, Hazard, Ky. He was 88 years old. Martn was born at Hyden, KY the son of the late Harry & Mae Woods Muncy. Martin was a retired truck driver, worked at Dayton Tire and Rubber owned and operated Muncy's Cab Service. Mr. Martin Muncy was a veteran of World War II having served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Martin was a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in Ohio for a short period of time. Mr. Martin Muncy was preceded in death by his parents: Harry & Mae Woods Muncy; beloved first wife: & mother of children: Mossie Muncy, brothers: Harold Muncy & David Muncy; sisters: Bonnie Lou, & granddaughter: Rebecca Keen. Mr. Martin Muncy leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving and devoted wife, Effie M. Muncy of Hyden, KY, sons: Daniel "Danny" Muncy & Diana of Springboro, OH, Ricky Dale Muncy & Janet of Hyden, KY, daughter: Linda Lou Keen & Paul of Hyden, KY, sister: Mary Ann Rice & Miller "Smokey" of Hyden, KY, three grandchildren: Jeremy Muncy, Christopher Keen and Dillon Muncy, six great grandchildren: Jeremy David Muncy, Jr., Jessica Muncy, Martin Dean Muncy, Tyler Napier, Olivia Napier, Trevor Napier, one step-grandson: Tony Napier, and also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
