Joyce Hampton

COURTESY OBITUARY Joyce Hampton was born August 19, 1939 and departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her residence in Annville, KY being 75 years of age. She was born in Hyden, KY to Earnest & Anna Lee (Burke) Keen who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hampton; two sons, John Francis (an infant) and Butch; and her brother, John Keen. Joyce is survived by three daughters, Von Hornsby and Bob, Rita Abbott and Mike and Dee Dee Hampton all of Annville, KY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chris Hornsby, Brad Hornsby, William Banks, Lewis Banks, Stephanie Davidson, Lisa Hampton and Barbara Hampton; twelve great grandchildren; four siblings, Carolyn Tullis, Molly Robbins, Louise Allen and Paul Keen. Joyce loved to play games with the children and was an avid UK Basketball fan. She was a devoted employee for 25 years at Jackson Manor Nursing Home. Funeral service was held 2:00PM Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Morgan and Bro. Jimmy K. Wells officiating. Burial followed in the Hornsby & Hampton Cemetery.
