Mr. Jerry Ray Hensley born July 19, 1949 departed this life, on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, Ky. He was 65 years old. Jerry was born at Wooton, Ky., the son of the late Brack & Dema Hensley. Jerry was a retired coal miner having retired with 33 years of employment service at Whitaker Coal Co. & James River Coal. He was an avid musician & had a passion for motorcylces. He enjoyed playing in adult men's leagues in both softball and basketball. Jerry's greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jerry Ray Hensley was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Lois Fugate, Bennita Combs, Verstine Hensley, two infants sisters; brothers; Billy Don Hensley, Tim Hensley & an infant brother. Mr. Jerry Ray Hensley leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving and devoted wife; Pamela J. Hornsby Hensley of Hyden, Ky., three beloved daughters; Regenia Morgan & husband, Joey of Stinnett, Ky., Tammy Smith and husband, Thomas, of Hyden, Ky., Stacy Brock and husband, Travis, of Hyden, Kentucky, six treasured grandchildren; Derek Smith, Gavon Brock, Joseph Morgan, Hayley Brock & twins; Joshua Smith & Benjamin Smith, along with a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
