The Obituary for Robert Cordell Asher Officiant: Jonathan Kleppinger Robert Cordell Asher of Hyden, KY., was born on September 30, 1948 in Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late, Carlo Britton Asher & the late, Mallie Sizemore Asher. Robert passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 66 years. Robert was a life-long resident of Leslie County. Bobby attended Berea Foundation High School & was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. By occupation he was a Kentucky State Tax Auditor. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran Communications Officer in London England. He was a bluegrass musician playing bass & mandolin, was a genealogist, president of Asher Family Reunion but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his children & grandchildren. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Carlo Britton Asher & Mallie Sizemore Asher & one brother, Orville Eugene Asher He leaves the following relatives surviving, three daughters, Suzanne Deaton & husband, Keith, Hazard, KY., Lauren Asher, Hazard, KY. & Whitney Asher, Louisville, KY., one sister, Dana Lynn Asher Tennill & husband, David, Hyden, KY., half-brother, Paul Allen Asher, half-sister, Rhonda Siegel & husband, Tim, five grandchildren, McKenna Deaton, Zane Deaton, Kaleb Cobb, Isabella Cobb & Lukas Cobb, two nieces, Courtney Kleppinger & Jonathan & Jessica Burris & Kevin, four nephews, Jim Bob Tennill & Karen, Dustin Tennill & Julie, Zachary Siegel & Anna & Bradley Siegel, two great-nieces, Mallie Kleppinger & Eliza Burris, two great-nephews, Jonah Tennill & David Tennill.
