The obituary of Mrs. Esther Dixon Mrs. Esther Dixon born September 19, 1924 departed this life on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center. She was 90 years old. Esther was born at Hyden, Ky., the daughter of the late Webb Bowling & Martha Ford Bowling. Esther was a homemaker & devoted member of the Wooton Baptist Church, Wooton, Ky. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., & enjoyed watching television and reading. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband; Don Dixon, one son; Larry Gene Dixon, one granddaughter; April Hensley, sisters; Gola Howard, Ruby Lewis, brothers; Arvil Bowling, Seldon Bowling, Ronnie Bowling, & John C. Bowling. Mrs. Esther Dixon leaves the following relatives surviving: sons; Warren Bowling and wife, Betty of Wooton, Ky., Randy Dixon and wife, Geneva of Wooton, Ky., daughters: Ruth Hensley and husband, Rex of Wooton, Ky., Shirley Church of Sand Gap, Ky., Alberta Buell and husband, Mike of Middletown, Ohio, one daughter-in-law; Evangeline Dixon, ten grandchildren; Fannie Fugate, David Bowling, Betty Ann Kilburn, Anthony Hensley, Angela Sparks, Scott Dixon, Debbie Barrett, Michael Buell, Shane Dixon, Brad Shamblin, 13 great grandchildren; 8 great, great, grandchildren, and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
