The obituary of Mr. Carlie "Carl" Caldwell Officiating Ministers: Rev. Chuck Jack, Rev. James Bowling, Jr. & Rev. Roscoe Roark Mr. Carlie "Carl" Caldwell, a life-time resident of Essie, Ky., showed much strength and courage throughout his sickness but passed this life on January 16, 2015. He was 77 years old. Carl was born to the union of Ida Osborne-Caldwell & Corbin Caldwell on June 23, 1937. Carl enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, gardening, but mostly Carl enjoyed reading and talking about the Bible. Carl was a hard working man. He worked since he was 13 years old to support his family. His jobs included logging, raising bees, working as a mechanic, and his latest job was working in the coal mines for 25 years. Carl always looked out for his family to the best of his ability. He will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious smile, and for his ability to love without question. Carl opened his home for too many people to count through the years, which he did for no reward but just because he was needed. He loved with all that was in him and his loved ones are the better for having him in their lives. Carl was affiliated with the Stinnett Pentecostal Church.
