The Obituary of Mr. Charley Woods Officiating Minister: Rev. Jerry Holland & Rev. Jerry Mckinley Holland Mr. Charley Woods, of 60 Collins Lane, Corbin, KY. departed this life at his residence on Saturday November 29, 2014 at the age of 91. Charley was born in Hyden, KY on June 16, 1923, son of the late Skelton Woods & Orlean Couch Woods. Charley was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served honorably in World War II. Charley spent his formative years in Leslie County & then moved to Dayton, OH as an adult where he was an employee of the Montgomery County Board of Education for many years. Upon retirement Charley moved to London, Ky where he resided for the past 31 years. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. Charley's hobbies included going to church, Hunting and Gardening. Mr. Charley Woods is preceded in death by: Parents: Skelton Woods & Orlean Couch Woods; Loving and Devoted Wife: Eleanor Stubblefield Woods; One Daughter: Rhonda Carol Woods; Three Brothers: Guss, Curt & Sam Woods. Mr. Charley Woods leaves the following relatives surviving: One Daughter: Tina Campbell of Corbin, KY. Two Grandchildren: James "Jim" Campbell & Bridgett of London, KY & Blake Canada of Williamsburg, KY. One God Grandchild: Jennifer Jackson of London, KY. One Great Granddaughter: Macie Campbell of London, KY. Care Taker: Ricky Goforth of Corbin, KY. He is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
