The obituary of Mr. Willie Wooton Mr. Wille Wooton born February 14, 1930 departed this life on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at his residence located at Wooton, Ky., He was 84 years old. Willie was born at McIntosh, Wooton, Ky., the son of the late Hyden Wooton & Mary Ellen Bailey Wooton. Willie was a retired coal miner having worked a total of 33 years in the coal mines. He retired from Whitaker Coal Company after 28 years, 7 months & 5 days of distinguished service. Willie also was employed as a logger, Leslie Co. Deputy Sheriff, store owner, & served one elected term as constable of Leslie Co. He was a member of the Wooton Baptist Church, Wooton, Ky & was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. Willie was an avid coon hunter, enjoyed horses, black-smithing, playing guitar & music, University of Kentucky basketball. He was a devoted husband, father & grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family . Mr. Willie Wooton was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Henry, Corbett, G.B. Wooton, three sisters: Ercil Wooton, Polly Deaton, Opha Cornett & one son-in-law, Larry Dixon. Mr. Willie Wooton leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving and devoted wife of 62 years: Florence Fugate Wooton of Wooton, Kentucky, one son: William Douglas Wooton of Wooton, Ky., five daughters: Evangeline Dixon of Wooton, Ky., Sandy Stacy & husband, Homer of London, Ky., Patricia Montgomery of Salyersville, Ky., Sherry Eunice & husband, Randy, of Newnan, Georgia, Connie Puckett & husband, Dave of Salyersville, Ky., two sisters: Beulah Turner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Florence Medaris of Columbus, Georgia, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
