Arthur Melton, Jr.

The obituary of Mr. Arthur Melton, Jr. Mr. Arthur Melton, Jr. born August 3, 1938 departed this life on September 15, 2014 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. He was born in Leslie County the son of the late Arthur Melton, Sr. and the late Fannie Barger Melton. By occupation Arthur was a retired employee from the Leslie County Board of Education and also from the Frontier Nursing Service Security department. He enjoyed spending his time with his children and grandchildren. Arthur enjoyed playing his guitar and singing and watching WLJC and making donations. Arthur was a member of the Tribbey Church of God and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Fannie Melton, Sr., his loving and devoted wife: Jennie and one brother: Bob Melton. He leaves surviving the following relatives: two sons: Billy Wayne Adams & Tammy of London, KY, Arthur Melton, III & Janessa of Wooton, KY, five daughters: Betty Melton & Doug of Wooton, KY, Connie North of Wooton, KY, Jennifer Baker & Russell of Wooton, KY, Thelma Melton of Danville, KY, and Ann Melton Polley & Terry of Winchester, TN., four sisters: Marie Colwell of Wooton, Ky, Thelma Hensley of Wooton, Ky, Betty Bowling & Warren of Wooton, KY and Ann Barger of Lexington, KY, son-in-law: Randy North, twelve grandchildren: Paige Fields, Steven Cornett, Felicia Woods, Brandon Melton, Justin Melton, Shawna North, Colton, North, Jerry Caudill, Stephanie Caudill, Dale Caudill, Justin Adams and Tara Adams, eight great grandchildren: Alexis Baker, Tyler Baker, Landon Caudill, Reese Caudill, Kash Woods, Rylan Caudill, Peyton Fields and Dallas Adams. Arthur Jr. was also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES: 1:00 P.M. - Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the McIntosh Church of God at Wooton, KY. VISITATION: 6:00 P.M.- Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the church.
