Rhonda Baker Kennedy

Rhonda Baker Kennedy, age 57 of Garfield, KY died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Hazard, KY on September 9, 1956. Rhonda, along with her boss and friend Thomas Neal Hicks, operated Breckinridge Inn for 21 years. During that time, she met many people, some who remained friends over the years, and provided them with a home away from home. Upon her retirement, she began traveling with Darryl across the country to his many job sites. She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening and staying busy. She would never leave a job to be done the next day. Rhonda was a caregiver to many, including her mother, sister and aunt. She was a wonderful friend with an infectious smile that would make you feel special. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father - Willie R. Baker sister - Pat and brothers - Billy and Wayne She is survived by her husband - Darryl Kennedy of Garfield, KY their 6 daughters - Vanessa White and her husband Ryne of Pellville, KY Cheryl Jones of Whitesville, KY Leslie Kennedy of Westview, KY Alicia Mucker and her husband David of Westview, KY Jacquie Kennedy of Hardinsburg, KY Amelia Kennedy of Irvington, KY Mother - Alice Baker of Yeaddiss, KY Sister - Tena Dean and her husband James of Fayetteville, NC 14 grandchildren: Caleb and Natalie, Shayna, Hannah, Madysen and Chloe, Demetrius, Alyssa, Aleigha and Amber, Xavier, Izaiah, Lilly and Derrion Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, 9-3-2014 at 11 AM. with Rev. Jeff McMichael officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 4-8 PM and Wednesday after 8 AM.
