Carl Brown Mrs. Bertha Jones Gay of 5433 Bullskin Rd.,Sizerock, KY. was born on October 19, 1917 at Sizerock, Ky., the daughter of the late Russell Jones & Martha Couch Jones. She passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital, Hyden, Ky. at the age of 96 years, 8 months & 26 days. Bertha was a life-long resident of Sizerock, KY. She was a homemaker & a member of the Sizerock Baptist Church at Sizerock, KY. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, house work & sewing. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Russell & Martha Jones, her loving and devoted husband, Lawrence Gay, great-grandson, Timmy Burns, granddaughter, Barbara Woods, sister, Nora Estep, brothers, George, Shelby & Virgil Jones, son-in-law, Elmer Webb & daughter-in-law, Joan Gay. She leaves the following relatives surviving, sons, Harvey Gay of Sizerock, Ky. & Vernon Gay & Carol of Oneida, KY., daughters, Drucie Webb of Sizerock, Ky. & Sophia Woods & Lige of East Bernstadt, KY., 10 grandchildren, Judy Faye Nose & John, Gary Wayne Woods & Brenda, Debra Burns & Darrell, Elmer Wayne Webb, Harvey Gene Webb & Mary, Randall Gay & Sheila, Wendell Gay & Natasha, Jason W. Gay & Karrie, Leslie Ann Finley & Tim & Justin Daniel Gay & Christy, 15 great-grandchildren & 5 great-great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews other relatives & friends survive.
