Mr. Bruce Mosley, 80 of Hyden, Ky., passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was born on October 23, 1933 at Hyden, KY the son of the late Kelley Mosley and the late Ora Wilson Mosley. Bruce was retired from the Leslie County Telephone Company having worked with them for 35 years of service. Bruce was very involved in the community and with the youth of Leslie having coached Little League and Senior League baseball for many years. Bruce was a member of the Leslie Co. Fish and game club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was also an excellent cook especially frying fish & hush puppies. Bruce was a devoted member of the Thousandsticks United Methodist Church and a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Bruce Mosley was a Korean War Veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Army. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents: Kelley & Ora Mosley, his loving and devoted wife: Zola Roberts Mosley, two sons: Robert Bruce Mosley and Roger Keith Mosley, one sister: Lillian Burgess. He leaves surviving the following relatives: one son: Larry David Mosley of Hyden, KY, two daughters: Sharon Hopson & Frank of Wooton, KY and Ora Sue Mosley of Wooton, KY, one brother: George Clay Mosley & Joyce of Asher, KY, six grandchildren: Joshua, Christopher, Matthew, Jonathan, Kendra & Zoey, one great Grandchild: Colton. Bruce is also survived by a host other treasured relatives and friends. The following will serve as pallbearers: Joshua Sizemore, Matthew Sizemore, Christopher Sizemore, Jonathan Hopson, George Clay Mosley and Brian Hubbard. Kevin Napier PLACE OF INTERMENT: Morgan-Begley Cemetery at Hyden, KY. Full Military Rites observed by the Leslie County DAV Chapter #133.
