THE OBITUARY OF MR. JOE EARL MORGAN OFFICIATING MINISTERS: REV. CLIFTON ADAMS & REV. RYAN OSBORNE Mr. Joe Earl Morgan of Hyden, Ky departed this life on Saturday May 24, 2014 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. He was 89 years old. Joe was born on April 29, 1925 to the late Parley Morgan & Esther Woods Morgan. He was a retired bull- dozer operator for coal mine operations retiring from Whitaker Coal Company and he also worked in construction. Joe Morgan served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medic. He was life long resident of Leslie County and a devout member of the Hyden Church of God. Joe's hobbies included gardening, watching & keeping up with the news & Politics, reading the Bible & most importantly spending time with his family. Mr. Joe Earl Morgan was preceded in death by: parents: Parley Morgan & Esther Woods Morgan; Brothers: Eric, Roy, Ray Morgan, sister: Juanita Burns; 1st Wife: Bonnie Dodson; Daughters: Velma Roberts & Kimberly Langdon; Son: Don Ray Langdon & One Grandson: Kenny Nathan Burns; Mr. Joe Earl Morgan leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife : Thelma Colwell Morgan; Sons: Kenneth & Mable Morgan of London, KY, Donnie Langdon of Hyden, KY, Stanley & Rose Langdon of Houston, TX, Dale & Sally Langdon of Krypton, KY; Daughters: Denna Jones of Oneida, KY, Barbara Burns of Hyden, KY, Carol & Cleveland Brown of Romulus, MI, Vickie & Roy Holman of Versailles, IN, & Debbie & Leihman Jr. Howard of Wooton, KY; Special Grandson: Ayden Langdon; 22 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren & 3 Great Great Grandchildren; along with a host of other treasured relatives and friends survive his passing. The following will serve as pallbearers: Johnny Morgan, Joey Morgan, Brandon Howard, Jeremy Hendrix, Donnie Langdon, Todd Dixon & Steven Wells.
