Mr. Felix Jones was born on August 17, 1939, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at his residence at 329 Gravel Lick Rd., Waco, KY. at the age of 74 years, 9 months & 2 days. Felix was born at Thousandsticks, KY the son of the late Willie Jones and the late Lucy Osborne Jones. By occupation he was a retired coal miner and had been a life-long resident of Leslie county with the exception of having lived in Waco, KY for the past 12 years. Mr. Felix Jones enjoyed gardening, his pet dogs, and spending time with his family. Felix was a member of the Bear Wallow Pentecostal Church at Dreyfuss, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie & Lucy Jones, two brothers: Roy and Kermit Jones, one grandson: Johnny Jones. He leaves surviving the following relatives: loving and devoted wife of 57 years: Leona Jones of Waco, KY, sons: Estil Jones & Brenda of London, KY, Lester Jr. Jones & Leann of Waco, KY, step-son: Sherman Jones & Kathleen of London, KY, daughters: Melissa Henson & Ronnie of London, KY, Alice Young of Mt. Orab, OH, Zola Egbert & Jimmy of Oxford Ohio, brothers: Paul Jones & Anna Carol of Hyden, KY, Sherman Jones & Sally of Somerset, KY, Kenny Ray Jones of Hyden, KY, sisters Molly Holland & Homer of London, KY, Bessie Collins & Robert of Hyden, KY, Clara Chandler & Jr. of Hyden, KY, Brenda Jones of Hyden, KY, Christine Gregory & Jimmy of London, KY, special nieces: Brenda Pfaff and Lucy Jones both of Manchester, KY, Mr. Felix Jones is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
