Susie Anne Cress

Susie Anne Cress, age 97 of London, passed away on Monday, May 19, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin. She leaves behind two children, Evelyn Cress Tanner and husband Kenneth of Louisville, William L. Cress and wife Ida of London; two brothers, Troy and Denver Melton; five grandchildren, Pam Tanner, Kenny Tanner II, Robert William Tanner, Carmen Cress Roundtree, Crystal Cress Merlin; seven great-grandchildren, Justin Tanner, Clayton Tanner, Andrew Tanner, Erin Tanner, Peyton Roundtree, Jonah Merlin, and Nikolai Merlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Cress; parents, John Baker & Ardotha Melton Baker; and four siblings. Funeral arrangements for Susie Anne Cress will be conducted on Thursday, May 22, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Dallas Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton Cemetery in Wooten, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, also at the funeral home.
