Matt B. Sandlin

Mr. Matt B. Sandlin age 78 , of Hyden, KY passed away on Sunday-May 18, 2014 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Ctr. in Hazard, KY. He was born in Leslie County, KY the son of the late Charlie Sandlin and the late Ella J. Sizemore Sandlin. By occupation Mr. Matt Burtis Sandlin was self employed and owned his own Logging Company. He enjoyed his work but he especially appreciated spending time with his family. Matt was a Christian and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie & Ella Sandlin, brother: John A Sandlin, three nephews: Conley, C.B. and Will Sandlin. He leaves surviving his loving & devoted wife: Betty Sandlin of Hyden, KY, one loving daughter Karen "Cricket" Pennington & Scott of Hyden, KY, one very cherised granddaughter: Emma Grace Pennington & 2 sisters: Alta Ruth Sandlin, Hyden, KY. & Ruby Woods, Hyden, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Roy Rice, Ronnie Sandlin, Mickey R. Howard, Clyde Gibson, Scott Pennington, J.D. Sandlin, Larry Lee and Willie Gibson.
