Mr. Paul Day of 41 Kalena Drive, Viper, Ky., was born on May 21, 1944, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the age of 69 years, 11 months & 27 days. He was born at Wooton, KY the son of the late Tom Day and the late Viola Lewis Day. By occupation Paul was a retired coal miner and had been employed by Blue Diamond Coal Co. Paul was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and raising rose bushes, but he especially enjoyed being involved in the lives of his family. Mr. Paul Day was a member of the Jeff Missionary Baptist church and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County & Perry County. Paul was preceded in death by his parents: Tom and Viola Day, his loving and devoted wife: Annie Jean Day, one sister: Loretta Baker, one granddaughter: Jazmin Sizemore, one brother-in-law: Johnny Kilburn. He leaves the following relatives surviving: one son, Robert Saylor & Eva of Viper, KY., three daughters, Patricia Day of London, KY., Tabitha Ann Danner & Bob of Viper, KY. & Teresa Sue Day of Cutshin, Ky, one brother: Bobby Gene Day of Wooton, KY, two sisters: Leona Kilburn and Sue Rittenhouse & Allen all of Wooton, KY., seven grandchildren: Isiah Freeman Saylor, Kalena Paige Danner, Liberty Faith Danner, Nick Danner, Contessa Cawood, Bethany Bailey and George Bailey. Mr. Paul Day is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and one yet to be born and a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
