Charles D. Young

Mr. Charles D. Young, age 83, formerly of Leslie County, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. He was born on April 27, 1930 at Hyden, KY, the son of the late Troy Barger and the late Sylvia Young Williams. By occupation he was a retired sawmill worker and night watchman. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had served in the Korean Conflict. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in London, KY. He enjoyed gardening, bird feeding, puzzles, plants and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Charles D. Young was preceded in death by his parents: Troy Barger and Sylvia Young Williams, wife: Marie; one son: Jerry; grandson: Christopher Howard,two brothers: Lee Barger and Jack Barger, one sister: Bernice. He leaves surviving the following relatives: four daughters: Zora Mae Young of London, KY, Bonnie Lou Joseph & Larry of Avawam, KY, Mary Patterson & Earl of London, KY, Hallie Taylor & Roy of Miamisburg, OH, ten brothers: Johnny Williams & Marie of Bear Branch, KY, Harold Williams & Nancy of Hyden, KY, Woodrow Williams & Sharon of Hyden, KY, Marcus Williams & Joann of Asher, Ky, Bill Williams of FL, Hubert Barger & Rowena of Hyden, KY, Harold Barger & Florence of Hyden, KY, Eugene Blue Barger of Hyden, KY, Bill Barger of Hyden, KY , Boyd Dean Barger of London, KY six sisters: Lucy M. Lewis of Hazard, KY, Vivian Roberts & John of Hyden, KY, Bertha Begley & Wayne of Verona, KY, Pauline Morgan of OH, Betty Sue Morgan & Mark of OH,and Lois Jean, two grandchildren: Judy Marie Feustel, Joann Joseph. Mr Charles D. Young is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
