The Obituary for Charles Burtis "C.B." Sandlin Officiating Minister: Pastor Sam Baer C.B. Sandlin was born on December 19, 1950 in Hyden, Kentucky, the son of the late John A. & Nancy Begley Sandlin. He passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at his residence at 232 Bowling Branch Rd., Hyden, KY. at the age of 60 years, 8 months & 7 days. C.B. was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., by occupation he was a former coal miner & brick masonary. He was affliated with the Victory Mountain Grace Brethern Chapel at Confluence, Ky. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers & hunting. C.B. was preceded in death by his parents, & 2 brothers: Will & Conley Sandlin He leaves the following relatives surviving: His wife: Sinda Griffie Sandlin of Hyden, KY., 3 daughters: Nancy Gibson & Danny of Thousandsticks, Ky., Denna Sandlin of Hyden, KY. & Michelle Sandlin of Hyden, KY., 1 brother: Ronnie Sandlin of Hyden, KY., 3 sisters: Linda North & Charlie of Hyden, Ky., Jessie Lewis of Hyden, KY., Nikki Lewis & Tim of Hyden, Ky., 5 grandchildren: Savannah Hill, Brittany Hill, Kayla Sandlin, Annie Gibson & Jeremiah Gibson, 1 step-grandson: Christopher Gibson, also a host of other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 19, 2011 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel at Hyden, KY. with Pastor Sam Baer officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandlin-Wooton family Cemetery at Dryhill, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Dwight Hill, Ricky Griffie, J.D. Sandlin, Kevin Sandlin, Nicholas Lewis, Jacob Lewis, William Sandlin, Charles Sandlin & Scott Combs. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 18, 2011 @ 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel.
