The Obituary for Rachel Howard Nicely Officiating Minister: Rev. Paul Couch Rachel Howard Nicely was born on January 6, 1934 in Leslie Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Rufus & Katie Colwell Howard. She passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Hazard Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. at the age of 77 years, 7 months & 9 days. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., she was a homemaker, she was affliated with the Yerkes Baptist Church. Her hobbies were knitting, & spending time with her grandchildren. Rachel Howard Nicely was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Felix & one one sister: Zona Howard She leaves the following relatives surviving: her loving & devoted husband: Robert Walden Nicely of Confluence, Ky., one son: Bobby Nicely & Leslie Melton of Confluence, Ky., two brothers: Esaw "Bill" Howard & Loretta of Hamilton, Ohio & Cecil Howard & Dianna of Krypton, KY., one sister: Hazel Baker of Stinnett, KY., three grandchildren: William Nicholas Robert Nicely, Brian Chase Melton & Dustin Michael Melton, also a host of other relatives & friends.
