The obituary of Mr. Lee Slusher, Jr. Officiating Minister: Rev. Geoffery Roberts Mr. Lee Slusher, Jr. born August 14, 1919 departed this life on August 1, 2009 at the age of 89 years. He was born at Bledsoe, Kentucky the son of the late Lee Slusher, Sr. and the late Delilah Bailey Slusher. By occupation he was a logger and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Lee enjoyed gardening, going to the Senior Citizens Center, cooking and traveling. He was a member of the Mozelle Church of God and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Mr. Lee Slusher, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents: Lee Slusher, Sr. and Delilah Bailey Slusher; wife: Irma Jean Slusher; and one daughter: Joyce. Lee leaves surviving the following relatives: two daughters: Jane Brock & Frank of London, KY, Sandra Howard of Mozelle, KY, four sons: Wade Slusher & Christine of Harlan, KY, Paul Edward Slusher of Michigan, Charles Slusher & Sue of Mozelle, KY, Bill Slusher & Linda of Mozelle, KY, eight grandsons: Anthony Slusher, Terry Brock, William Brock, Scott Slusher, Rodney Slusher, Randy Slusher, Kevin Brock and Brian Brock. Also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lee Slusher, Jr., will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday - August 4, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Geoffery Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday- August 3, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Slusher Family Cemetery at Mozelle, Kentucky, with full military rites observed by the Leslie Co. D.A.V.
