Bessie Parker Sizemore

Bessie Parker Sizemore, 85, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alice Parker; her loving husband of 49 years, George Merle Sizemore; five brothers and two sisters. Bessie is survived by her son, Dennis Sizemore and wife, Gloria; daughters, Deborah Buckley and husband, Mark, Susan Stuart and husband, Bill, Sharon Anderson, and husband, Ed; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Bessie was a school teacher with Pasadena ISD, teaching 2nd grade at Genoa Elementary for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved all of her flowers. Bessie and George enjoyed traveling and visiting their children in many different parts of the country. Family was very important to her and she cherished every opportunity she had to cook for and spend time with them. Bessie will forever be remembered for her healthy lifestyle and always taking excellent care of herself and George. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Bessie will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. A visitation will also be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 10:00 am until noon at Walker Funeral Home, 155 Hickory St., Hyden, KY 41749 with the graveside service following at 12:30 at the Sizemore Family Cemetery in Hyden, Kentucky with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating.
