The obituary of Mr. Allan Whitehead Officiating Ministers: Rev. James Bowling, Jr. & Keith Bowling Mr. Allan Whitehead born May 20, 1965 departed this life on Friday, May 31, 2013 in Hyden, Ky. Allan was 48 years old. Allan was born at Hyden, Kentucky, the son of Barbara Baker & the late John Whitehead. John spent his formative years in Hyden, Ky. & Tennessee & had been a resident of Hyden for the past 6 years. Allan was a former maintenance employee for the City of Hyden. Allan enjoyed fishing, digging ginseng, & taking care of his roosters. Mr. Allan Whitehead was preceded in death by his father, Mr. John Whitehead. Mr. Allan Whitehead leaves surviving his beloved mother: Barbara Baker Brock of Rutledge, Tennessee, a life-time friend: Kathy Deaton of Hyden, Ky., four sons: Curtis Lee Myers, Casey Alan Meyers & Cody Adam Whitehead all of Tennessee, Haydraine Samuel Whitehead of Hyden, Ky., four brothers: Dale Whitehead & wife, Kathy of Stinnett, Ky., John Allan Gray of Dayton, Ohio, Dhane Gray of Dayton, Ohio, Wayne Whitehead of Dayton, Ohio, two sisters: Sonya Tafolla of London, Ky., Melissa Hill & Carlos of Stinnett, Ky., two grandchildren: Killyen Kelt Myers and Adam Daniel Whitehead; two special friends: Curley Whitehead & Randall Combs, & a host of other treasured relatives & friends. The Whitehead family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mr. Carlos Hill for all his help to Allan & his family. The funeral service for Mr. Allan Whitehead will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. - Tuesday- June 4, 2013 at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with James Bowling, Jr., & Keith Bowling officiating. The interment will follow in the Baker Cemetery located at Essie, Ky. Friends may call for visitation after 6:00 P.M. - Monday - June 3, 2013 at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church. The following will serve as pallbearers: Dallas Roberts, Christopher Jones, Shane Whitehead, Dana Hill, Curtis Myers, Mandy Jones, Barbara Hill & John Howard.
