Wayne Bowling Rose Nell Carden born January 26, 1936 departed this life on October 10, 2008 at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 14 days old. She was born at Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jim Nantz and the late Jane North Nantz. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County Kentucky. Rose Nell was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church. she enjoyed drawing art and watching television. Rose was preceded in death by her parents: Jim & Jane Nantz; four brothers: Edgar Nantz, Virgil Nantz, Fred Nantz, and Elzie Nantz; three sisters: Mattie Bell Roark, Marie Whitehead and May McCorbie. She leaves surviving the following relatives: Father of Daughter: Carl Carden of Helton, KY; one daughter: Carla Carden & Doug Brock of Helton, KY; one brother: Rob Nantz of Helton, KY; one sister: Jean McRobie of Maryland, two grandchildren: Amanda Howard and Destiny Carden; one great grandchild: Alex Caldwell. Rose Nell Carden is also survived by a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousin and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Rose Nell Carden will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday- October 13, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Hyden, KY, with Rev. Wayne Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Nantz Cemetery at Helton, KY under the direction of the Walker Funeral Home Staff. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m - Sunday - October 12, 2008 at the funeral home chapel.
