The Obituary for Reo Thornbury Officiating Minister: Rev. Ted Thulin Reo Thornbury was born on April 20, 1923 in Augusta, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Asa & Retta Mae Lea Holton. She passed away in Corbin, Kentucky on October 13, 2010 at the age of 87 years, 5 months & 23 days. Reo had been a resident of Laurel & Whitley Co. since the year of 2000, prior to living in Leslie Co. for the most part of her life. By occupation Reo was a retired secretary for the Leslie Co. Soil Conservation in Hyden, KY. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Hyden, Ky. & was also affliated with the First Presbyterian Church in London, KY. Reo was preceded in death by her parents: Asa & Retta Mae Lea Holton, her husband: Charles Thornbury & one brother: Robert Holton She leaves surviving one daughter: Valerie Thornbury of London, KY. & also a host of extended family & beloved friends. Visitation will be at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon. Following will be a graveside service at the Hurricane Cemetery at Hyden, Ky.,under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff, with Rev. Ted Thulin officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Keith Stewart, Martin Hendrix, Len Brashear, Ken Buckle, Larry Dixon, Randy Slusher and Fred Brashear.
