Marcus was 71 years of age at the time of his passing and was formerly of Hyden, KY. Marcus was the Son of the late Marcus Melton, Sr. and the late Elsie Mae Caudill Melton and the Husband of Maureen A. Lortie Melton. By occupation Marcus was a former Pressman for printing company. He was affiliated with the Methodist Church and enjoyed collecting antiques and fishing as hobbies. He was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Marcus Melton, Sr. & Elsie Mae Caudill Melton. Marcus leaves the following relatives surviving: Loving & Devoted Wife: Maureen A. Lortie Melton of Roscoe, IL.; Sons: Mark Melton & Amy of Spring Grove, IL., David Melton & Sue of Ingleside, IL., Tedd Melton of Twin Lakes, WI. and Randy Melton of Rogersville, TN.; Daughters: Gwendolyn Melton Harvey & Danny of Hazard, KY., Caroline Melton of Chicago, IL., Regina Melton Smith & Ken of Bean Station, TN., Michelle Melton of Rogersville, TN. and Amber Melton Hipshire & Andy of Rogersville, TN.; Step Children: Colette Ramos of IL., Kevin R. Mack & Sharon of IL., Michael S. Mack & Kimberly of WI. and Patrick C. Mack & Sandra of IL.; Brother: Ron Melton & Lena of Lily, KY.; Sisters: Katie Kennedy & Victor of ID., Vondrea Fansler of VA., Loretta Bowling of Wooton, KY., Sunny Joann Smith of Wooton, KY., Peggy Wydra & Jack of NC., Donna Smith & Ronnie of Avawam, KY. and Gwen Crutchfield of FL.; 20 Grandchildren and 11 Step-Grandchildren survive. Funeral services for Mr. Marcus Melton, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday ~ August 18, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Delmer Gross officiating. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Hospice Care of America ~ 3815 N. Mulford Rd. ~ Rockford, IL. 61114. Burial will follow in the Brewer Cemetery in Wooton, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Mark Melton, Michael S. Mack, David Melton, Randy Melton, Robert Melton, Brian Melton, Ted Melton, Parker O'Mara, Scottie Pawela, Andy Hipshire and Ron Melton.
