Mr. Lester "Fat Daddy" Couch was born on December 23, 1951 and departed this life on July 08, 2008 at the age of 56 years, 7 months, and 15 days. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County, the son of the late Orville Couch and the late Audrey Bowling Couch. By occupation he was a coal miner working for Blue Diamond Coal Company and Nally & Hamilton.Some of his hobbies included fishing, yard work, and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended Lees Jr. College. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his: parents: Orville Couch and Audrey Bowling Couch; Lonzie; uncle: Edmond Feltner; brothers:Les, Johnny, Ray Lee, and Orville. He leaves surviving the following relatives: biological mother: Mauda Woods of Michigan; wife: Judy Sizemore Melton Couch of Wooton, KY; four sons: Patrick Kyle Couch & Wanda Faye of Hyden, KY, Kelly Ray Couch of Hyden, KY, Terry Melton & Georgie of Wooton, KY, Byron Keith Melton & Crystal of Somerset, KY; three brothers: Jimmy Darrell Couch & Brenda of Hyden, KY, Wayne Woods and Jack Eddie Woods both of Michigan; eight sisters: Wanda Campbell & Roy of Combs, KY, Laura Collett & Stanley of McKee, KY, Lois Begley & Everett of Hyden, KY, Louise Couch & Elmer of London, KY, Bertha A. Gay & John of London, KY, Juanita Born & husband, Jack, Sandy Woods; & Margaret Hopkins & Mike all of Michigan; four grandchildren: Cierra Couch, Trinity Melton, Chandler Couch, and Jered Melton. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lester "Fat Daddy" Couch will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday July 11, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Merle Caudill and Keith Bowling officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday July 10, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Couch Family Cemetery at Dryhill, KY. Gavin Wells, Orville Dwayne Feltner, Scott Smith, Terry L. Bowling, Jr. Bowmen, Greg Wells, and Wayne Woods will serve as the pallbearers for Mr. Lester Couch.
