The Obituary of Mr. Dee Roberts Officiating Ministers: Rev. Geoffrey Roberts, Rev. Micky Lee Roberts and Rev. Robert Spurlock Mr. Dee Roberts was born on July 31, 1928 in Stinnett, KY. and passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital in Hyden, Ky. He was 84 years of age at the time of his passing. Dee was the Son of the late John Roberts and the late Elizabeth Bray Roberts and was the Husband of Virgie Gross Roberts. By occupation he was a retired Coal Miner being employed by Blue Diamond Coal in Leatherwood, KY. Dee was a lifelong resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Ohio for 8 years and was a devoted member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God. Dee enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, singing & playing his guitar in church. He was Preceded in Death by his: Parents: John Roberts & Elizabeth Bray Roberts; Son: Jimmy Dale Roberts; Granddaughter: Sheila Ann Roberts; 6 Brothers & 6 Sisters. Dee leaves the following relatives surviving: Wife: Virgie Gross Roberts of Stinnett, KY.; Sons: Micky Lee Roberts & Amanda of London, KY., Timothy Wade Roberts & Donna of Stinnett, KY., David Keith Roberts & Mildred of Stinnett, KY., Darrell Allen Roberts of Stinnett, KY. and Jerry Dee Roberts & Aretha of London, KY.; Daughters: Bonita Leddington & William of Stinnett, KY. and Elaine Collett & Homer Jr. of Stinnett, KY.; Brothers: Floyd Roberts & Rose Nell of Stinnett, KY. and Hoy Roberts of Illinois; 10 Grandchildren & 10 Great Grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Dee Roberts will be conducted on Monday ~ May 27, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stinnett Gap Church of God with Rev. Geoffrey Roberts, Rev. Micky Lee Roberts and Rev. Robert Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Jim & Robert Roberts Cemetery in Stinnett, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Todd Roberts, Terry Roberts, Travis Leddington, Trent Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Tyler Roberts and Billy Griffie.
