The obituary of Grace Pennington Officiating Minister: Keith Bowling Mrs. Grace Pennington born February 16, 1921 departed this life on June 8, 2010 at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 23 days old. She was born at Hyden, KY the daughter of the late Roy Bowling and the late Mallie Hensley Bowling. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Grace was a member of the Hurts Creek Church of Christ for the past 56 years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family. Grace was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Mallie Bowling, husband: Arthur Pennington, sisters: Helen, Gladys and Rose, brother: Elmer, and one great grandchild. She leaves surviving the following relatives: three sons: Billy Ward Pennington (Kathryn) of Richmond, KY Jerry Clinton Pennington (Debbie) of Clermont, FL, Richard Wayne Pennington (Frances) of Stinnett, Ky, one daughter: Judy Ann Pennington Adams of Richmond, KY, five brothers: Edwin Bowling of Hyden, KY, Clifton Bowling (Patsy) of Hyden, KY, Clayton Bowling (Patsy) of Somerset, Ky, Arthur Bowling (Hazel) of Hyden, KY, Donald R. Bowling of Morehead, KY, two sisters: Doris Johnson of Hyden, KY, Lois Adams of Hyden, KY, eleven grandchildren: Teresa, Susan, Lorrie, Gustavo, Leann, Joshua, Lesley, Danielle, Andrew, Brandon and Ryan; and seventeen great grandchildren. Grace is also survived by a host of treasured nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Pennington will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday- June 12, 2010 at the Hurts Creek Church of Christ with Keith Bowling officiating, Burial will follow in the Delmon Hensley Cemetery at Hyden, KY, with Brandon Pennington, Andrew Pennington, Gustavo Alfaro, Joshua Alfaro, Kevin Kiger,Kenny Davidson, and James Combs.
