The Obituary of Ida Osborne Caldwell Officiating Ministers: Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Rev. Bob Landis & Rev. Ryan Osborne Ida Osborne Caldwell was born on January 10, 1918 at Essie, Kentucky to the late Wiley & Bertha Napier Osborne. She passed away on May 5, 2011 at her residence at 847 Lower Bowens Creek Rd., Essie, KY. She was 93 years, 3 months & 25 days of age at the time of her passing. Ida was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. She had owned & operated Caldwell Grocery and volunteered & worked with the Red Bird Senior Citizens. She was a devoted member of the Lower Bowens Creek United Methodist Church at Essie, Ky. She was treasurer at the church for over 50 years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, going to church & most of all spending time with her family. Ida Osborne Caldwell was preceded in death by: Parents; Husband: Corbin Caldwell; Brothers: Boyd & Park Osborne; Son: Dallas Wayne & 2 Grandchildren. She leaves the following relatives surviving: 2 Sons: Kenneth Caldwell & Minnie Fern of Essie, KY. and Carlie Caldwell & Linda of Essie, KY.; 3 Daughters: Noreda Holland & Winfred of Dayton, Ohio, Carolyn Roark & Don of Warbranch, KY. & Christine Roark & Alfred of Essie, KY.; one Brother: Edmond Osborne & Lola of Essie, Ky.; 3 Sisters: Vina Collett of Essie, KY., Hazel Caldwell of Essie, Ky. & Linda Collett & Kenneth of Dryridge, KY.; 17 Grandchildren: Danny, Alma Jean, Buford, Kim, Kelly, Georgia Lee, Brenda Gail, David, Kenny, Lisa, Scottie, Patsy, Charlene, Chester, Amanda, Carla & Elaine. A host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives & friends also survive. Funeral service will be on Sunday - May 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lower Bowens Creek United Methodist Church at Essie, Ky. with Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Rev. Bob Landis & Rev. Ryan Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Osborne Family Cemetery at Essie, KY. with the following serving as Pallbearers: Danny Caldwell, Kenny Roark, Scottie Smith, Alvin Caldwell, Brandon Brock, Ryan Roark, Kenny Wayne Roark, Robbie Roark, Travis Roark, Austin Barrett, Rodney Osborne, Durand Napier & Jackie Alder.
