THE OBITUARY OF MR. TRUMAN SMITH OFFICIATING MINISTER: Keith Bowling Mr. Truman Smith born October 13, 1927 departed this life at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 11 days old on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital ARH, Hyden, Ky. He was born in Leslie County the son of the late Georgia Morgan. By occupation he was a self-employed trucker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Mr Truman Smith was preceded in death by his mother: Georgia, one son: Toby and one sister: Jean. Survivors for Truman Smith included his loving and devoted wife, Janice Hacker Smith of Hoskinston, KY, one daughter: Marietta Smith & James Ray of Essie, KY, five sons: Billy Smith & Deena of Hoskinston, KY, Donnie Smith of Hoskinston, KY, Truman Anthony Smith & Mary of Manchester, KY, Scott Randy Smith of Hoskinston, KY, and David Smith & Linda of Hoskinston, KY, one brother: Pete Shell of Hyden, KY and one sister: Dorothy of California. Mr. Truman Smith is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren Funeral arrangements for Mr. Truman Smith will be conducted at 12 noon, Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at the Stinnett Church of Christ with Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Family Cemetery located at Hoskinston, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Mark Smith, Pat Napier, Josh Smith, John Curtis Morgan, Trey Wilson and James Smith.
