The Obituary of Mr. Earnest Baker Officiating Minister: Jerry Lewis Mr. Earnest Baker departed this life on Saturday July 28, 2012 at his residence 1243 Persimmon Fork Rd. Yeaddiss, KY. at the age of 76 years old. Earnest was born on March 18, 1936 to the union of Mr. Ishmael & Mrs. Elsie Williams Baker. Earnest was a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired Coal Miner for Lee Mike Coal Company and was also a member of the Persimmon Fork Church of God where he served as an Elder. Earnest loved going to church and spending time with he family and friends. His hobbies included Hunting, Gardening, Camping and ATV riding. He was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Ishmael & Elsie Williams Baker; 3 Brothers: Pearl Baker, Hobert Baker & Farmer Baker; 3 Sisters: Nancy Jane Cornett, Tina France, & Edna Carroll. Mr. Earnest Baker leaves the following relatives surviving: His Loving and Devoted Wife: Shelby Jean Aldridge Baker; Sons: Earnest Leonard Baker & Patricia of Yeaddiss, KY. and Gary Doyle & Shirley Baker of Yeaddiss, KY.; Daughter: Sandra Carolyn Gross & Donnie of Yeaddiss, KY.; Sister: Sophia Baker of Cutshin, KY.; 5 Grandchildren: Dwight Baker, Pamela Shepherd, Shane Gross, Christopher Gross and Brian Baker all of Yeaddiss, KY.; 10 Great Grandchildren. A host of other treasured relatives and friends survive. Funeral service for Mr. Earnest Baker will be conducted on Tuesday July 31, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Persimmon Fork Church of God in Jesus Name with Jerry Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Ishmael Baker Cemetery at Yeaddiss, KY. with Christopher Gross, Shane Gross, Dwight Baker, Arnold Shepard, Dwight Pennington, Pearl Baker & Ricky Harris serving as Pallbearers.
