She was 85 years, 8 months, & 24 days old. She was born in Leslie Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Bill Coots & Orlena Baker. Alice was a member of the Church of Christ & a homemaker. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at 22 Peters Branch Rd., Yeaddiss, Ky., at the time of her death. Alice enjoyed collecting angels & coins as hobbies. Alice Coots was preceded in death by one daughter: Ruth Bubnick, two sisters: Emily Welling & Fay Coots & two brothers: Henry & Pearl Coots. Alice Coots leaves the following relatives residing: two daughters: Rosetta Pennington of Yeaddiss, Ky., Eva Ayres & husband, Don of Somerset, Ky., two brothers: Charlie Coots & wife, Edna, of Big Creek, Ky., Rex Coots and wife, Lottie of South Carolina, five sisters: Bessie Adams of Hamilton, Ohio, Mollie Maggard & of London, Ky., Mavy Maggard of Hamilton, Ohio, Iona North of Cumberland, Ky., & Edna Mae North of Hamilton, Ohio, 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 16 great, great, grandchildren, 5 aunts: Wanda Maggard, Mallie Maggard, Virgie Shepherd, Stephanie Adams, Mildred Ritchie, two special Sister-In-Laws: Ruth Coots & Janice Coots, Son-In-Law: Louis Bubnick. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 16 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. The funeral service for Ms. Alice Coots will be conducted at 1:00 P.M- Tuesday - June 30, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Mark Tabatta officiating. The interment will follow at the Coots Family Cemetery, Yeaddiss, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Walker Funeral Home Staff.
