The obituary of Mr. Hobert Asher Officiating Ministers: Rev. Jimmy Ward, Rev. Charles Martin, & Rev. Teddy Collett Mr. Hobert Asher born August 31, 1952 departed this life on June 11, 2010 at the age of 57 years. He was born at Beverly, Kentucky the son of the late Kelly Asher and Lois Brummett Asher. By occupation he was a coal miner and had been employed by Eastover, Sandy Fork and Four Aces Mining Companies. Mr. Hobert Asher was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and had been a life-long resident of Clay County, Kentucky. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, ginsenging, dryland fish hunting, and helping people in his community. Hobert was preceded in death by his father: Kelly Asher,& one son: Dennis Asher. He leaves surviving the following relatives: mother: Lois B. Asher of Warbranch, Ky., his loving and devoted wife: Della M. Asher, one son: Hobert Ray Asher & wife, Jeannie, of Harrogate, Tennessee, two daughters: Amy Lynn Collett & husband, Scottie, of Warbranch, Ky., Angela Michelle Hoskins & Marty Smith of Beverly, Ky., two brothers: Bentley Asher & wife, Opal of Warbranch, Ky., Cleveland Asher & wife, Elsie of Asher's Fork, Ky., two sisters: Lorene Shepherd of Warbranch, Ky., Ruth Ann Bradford of Roark, Ky., very special mother-in-law: Opal Asher, three brother-in-laws: Darrell Melvin Asher and wife, Mary, Jerry Asher, & Lloyd Asher. Seven treasured grandchildren: Kayla Mae Collett, Kimber Marie Asher, Hobert Cody Asher, Brandon Asher, Trevor Steven Hoskins, Connor Ray Hoskins, & Kyrie Beth Collett, & a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mr. Hobert Asher will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. - Tuesday - June 15, 2010 at the River Side Baptist Church, Beverly, Ky., with Rev. Jimmy Ward, Rev. Teddy Collett, and Rev. Charles Martin officiating. The interment will follow in the Asher Family Cemetery, Beverly, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff. Friends may call for visitation after 5:00 P.M. - Monday - June 14, 2010 at the River Side Baptist Church, Beverly, Ky.
