Memorial Service for Miss Mildred Rahn A memorial service will be held for Miss Mildred Millie Rahn Sunday November 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Essie Christian and Missionary Alliance Church at Essie, Kentucky. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend. Miss Mildred Millie Rahn, former pastor of the Essie Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, departed this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Chapel Hill, Tennessee. She was 83 years old. She was born on April 18, 1930. Miss Rahn was originally from Camden, NJ. She graduated from the Nyack Missionary College in 1953. She first came to Kentucky after graduation and served the Lord at Indian Creek, Kentucky. She was there for two years. Following this, she transferred to Detroit, Michigan where she worked with the Jewish people. In April, 1953 she came back to Kentucky to serve. This time, she came to Essie, Kentucky. Miss Rahn served as Pastor of the CMA church at Essie for 25 years prior to retiring in 1983. She was the daughter of Roger and Lillian Whitmore of New Jersey. There are no immediate survivors. She is survived by church family from Chapel Hill, TN and her former church family from Essie, KY as well as numerous close friends. She also had special friend and associate Miss Rachael Davison who served with her at the Essie CMA as Associate Pastor and then assumed the Pastorship of the church upon Miss Rahns retirement.
