Edith Nellene spent her formative years at Red Bird, Ky, & was a former resident of Jack's Branch. She had been a resident of Keavy, Ky for the past 14 years & was living there at the time of her death. She was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church at Big Creek, KY. (Clay Co.) Edith Nellene was employed by the Ky. Dept. of Social Services as a social worker. Edith Nellene Henson was preceded in death by her father: Gilbert Holland & paternal grandparents: Ed & Nancy Holland. Mrs. Edith Nellene Henson leaves the following relatives surviving: her loving and devoted mother: Mrs. Dora Ruth Proffitt of Keavy, Ky., one daughter: Tracie Michelle Henson of Keavy, KY., four brothers: Joe Thomas Asher of Keavy, KY., Gilbert Edward Holland & Becky of Barbourville, KY., Derek Holland & Jennifer of South Shore, KY. & Anthony Wayne Proffitt & Shaylene of Georgetown, KY., one sister: Danielle Holland of Big Creek, KY., maternal grandparents: T.J. Asher & Edith Asher of Keavy, Ky. A host of treasured nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends also survive.
