She was 78 years, 3 months, & 8 days old. Mary was born at Hyden, Ky., the daughter of the late Lawton Bowling & Ida Gibson Bowling. Mary was a homemaker & enjoyed growing flowers. Mary was a member of the Hurts Creek Church of Christ, Hyden, Ky., and while living in Murphysboro, Ill., she was attending the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro, Illinois. Mrs. Mary Bowling Boggs was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Floyd Boggs, one son: Johnny Boggs, two daughters: Betty Boggs & Anna Boggs,one grandson: Stephen Barton, five brothers: David, Daniel, Lester, John, & one in infancy & two sisters: Bertie Rice & Kay Mosley. Mrs. Mary Bowling Boggs leaves the following relatives surviving: one daughter: Patsy Barton and husband, Gary of Murphysboro, Illinois, one son: Roger Boggs and friend, Kathy of Rockmart, GA., four grandchildren: Angela Simpkins and husband, Danny, Jesse Boggs, Jason Boggs, & Adrianne Boggs, one great-grandson: Tyler Simpkins, two brothers: Billy Bowling of Wabash, Indiana, Elmer Bowling of Hyden, Ky., two sisters: Ann Wathen of Ky., Irene Burge of Lynn, Indiana, & a special friend, Crystal Hunziker & a host of other treasured relatives & friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Mary Bowling Boggs will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. - Sunday - June 28, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Ky.,with Larry Hendrix officiating. The interment will follow in the Lawton Bowling Cemetery, Hyden, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff.
