The obituary of Mr. Clifton Morgan Officiating Minister: Kenneth Melton Mr. Clifton Morgan age 81,passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born at Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late Shafter Morgan and the late Alma Cornett Morgan. By occupation he was a retired coal miner and welder. Clifton had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in London, Kentucky for 10 years. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ and he enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Mr. Clifton Morgan was preceded in death by his Parents: Shafter and Alma; Brothers: Lester, Norman, Pat and Gene. He leaves surviving the following relatives: his loving and devoted Wife: Martha Boggs Morgan of Hyden, KY.; Son: Harold Douglas Morgan & wife Tina of Franklin, KY.; Daughters: Deborah Mosley & Husband, Paul of Mozelle, KY. and Kathy Johnson & Husband, Greg of London, KY.; Brothers: Damon Morgan of Hoskinston, KY., Shafter Morgan, Jr. & Wife, Anita of London, KY. and Carlos Morgan & Wife, Phyllis of Indiana; Sisters: Eula Caldwell of London, KY., Marie Deaton of London, KY., Hazel Bowling & Husband, Arthur of Hyden, KY. and Effie Muncy & Husband Martin of Hoskinston, KY.; Grandchildren: Melissa Mosley, Brooks Lewis & Jaclyn, Holly Chandler & Jason, Bryan Lewis & Brittany and Kristy Morgan. Also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Clifton Morgan will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Kenneth Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery located in Hyden, KY. with the following serving as Pallbearers: Brooks Lewis, Bryan Lewis, Jason Chandler, Greg Johnson, Johnny Fugate, Leon Bowling, Jimmy Morgan and Mitchell Morgan.
