The Obituary of Mrs. Jennie Melton Officiating Minister: Terry Joseph and Karen Campbell Mrs. Jennie Melton was born on April 19, 1935 and departed this life on November 28, 2011 at the Mary Breckinridge ARH ~ Hyden, KY. at the age of 76 years. She was residing at 51 Apple Lane ~ Wooton, KY. at the time of her passing. Jennie was the Daughter of the late Felix North and the late Polly Pennington North and Wife of Arthur Melton, Jr. of 46 years. By occupation she was a Homemaker. Jennie was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church. She was a Member of the Tribbey Church of God in Hazard, KY. She was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Felix & Polly Pennington North; Brothers: Allen North, Burley North, Eli North and George North; Infant Brother; Sisters: Faye Haines and Zona Huff. Jennie leaves the following relatives surviving: Loving & Devoted Husband of 46 Years: Arthur Melton, Jr. of Wooton, KY.; Sons: Billy Wayne Adams & Tammy of London, KY., Arthur Melton III & Janessa of Wooton, KY. and Carl Adams; Daughters: Betty Melton & Doug of Wooton, KY., Connie North & Randy of Wooton, KY., Jennifer Cornett of Wooton, Ky., Thelma Melton of Indiana and Virginia Ann Caudill of Ohio; Brothers: Dewey North & Dorothy of FL. and James North & Faye of Cutshin, KY.; Sister: Ula Gross of Cutshin, KY.; Grandchildren: Paige Cornett, Steven Cornett, Felicia Melton, Brandon Melton, Justin Melton, Shawna North, Colton North, Jerry Caudill, Stephanie Caudill, Dale Caudill, Justin Adams and Tara Adams; Great Grandchildren: Alexis Hensley, Tyler Hensley and Landon Caudill. Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Melton will be conducted on Wednesday ~ Nov. 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the McIntosh Church of God with Terry Joseph and Karen Campbell. Burial will follow in the Arthur Melton Cemetery in the McIntosh section of Wooton, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jerry Caudill, Dale Caudill, Ryan Smith, Brandon Fields, Dale Colwell & Charles Gross. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 beginning at 5:00 P.M. for the Family and from 6:00-10:00 P.M. for the Public at the Church.
