The Obituary of Mr. John L. Morgan Officiating Ministers: Keith Bowling, Charles Arnold Hoskins, Coy Duff, Marcus Duff, Dan Hoskins & Clayton Nantz Mr. John L. Morgan of 125 Greasy Creek Rd., Hoskinston,KY., passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital in Hyden, KY. at the age of 83 years, 10 months & 24 days. John was born at Stinnett, KY., the son of the late Arnold Morgan & Rose Muncy Morgan. He was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. John worked at various occupations during his life-time. He taught school as a young man in Greasy Creek & was a logger. He later was employed by the Ky. State Highway Dept. & LKLP. He retired after a very distinguished career as an mine inspector & reclamation director for both the Ky. & U.S. Government Dept. of Mines and Minerals. John also owned and operated a television cable line at Hoskinston & Confluence, Ky. He served honorably & was a decorated Veteran of the Korean War. John was a devoted member of the Stinnett Church of Christ at Hoskinston, KY. John was an avid UK basketball fan & enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, reading his bible & especially spending time with his family. John L. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Morgan & Rose Muncy Morgan, 2 brothers, James & Ronald Morgan, 1 sister, Jane Elise Mosley & a son-in-law, Duane Tinnel He leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving & devoted wife whom he married in 1954, Audrey Smith Morgan of Hoskinston, KY., 2 daughters, Armilda Sue Hoskins & Jerry of Hoskinston, KY. & Rhonda J. Tinnel of Hoskinston, KY., 2 brothers: Frederick Morgan & Phyllis of Stinnett, KY. & Phillip Morgan & Mary Angela of Hoskinston, KY., 3 sisters: Lucille Roberts & Rev. Logan of Stinnett, KY., Imogene Morgan of Hoskinston, KY. & Betty Gail Hoskins of Hoskinston, KY., 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Lynn Hoskins Wilson, Jordan Seth Tinnel & Johnny Duane Shane Tinnel & 3 great-grandchildren: Jaxon Bradley Wilson, Jennah Skye Wilson & Jacob Seth Tinnel.
