The Obituary of Mrs. Effie Brock Officiating Ministers: Mitchell Brock, Doug Napier & Earnest Brock Mrs. Effie Brock was born on January 27, 1934 and departed this life on December 28, 2012 at the Harlan ARH Medical Center in Harlan, KY. She was residing in Bledsoe, KY. and was 78 years of age at the time of her passing. Effie was born at Helton, KY. and was the Daughter of the late Jim Brock and the late Amy Ann Whitehead Brock and was the Widow of Boyd Brock. By occupation Effie was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Bledsoe, KY. (Harlan County) and was a devoted member of the New Hope Community Church ~ Warbranch, KY. She enjoyed gardening, quilt making and flower gardening as hobbies. She was preceded in Death by her: Loving and Devoted Husband: Boyd Brock; Son: Nelson; Twin Daughters: Martha and Mary; Parents: Jim Brock & Amy Ann Whitehead Brock; Brothers: Jr., Denver, Victor and John; Sister: Dorothy Brock. Effie leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Manuel Brock of TN., Michael Brock & Regina of Bledsoe, KY. and Rev. Denver Brock & Loretta of Bledsoe, KY.; Daughter: Joyce Duff & Larry of Baxter, KY.; Sister: Polly Duncan of Bledsoe, KY.; Special Friends & Caretakers: Nettie Wilson and Jessica Asher; Special Friends: Nettie Saylor and Mattie Caldwell Sparks; Grandchildren: Nelson Brock & Sara, Aundra Brock & Tracie, Nathaniel Brock & Goldie, Lacosta Nantz & Melvin, Jeanine Gross, Denver Brock & Michelle, Betty Joyce Duff, Isaac Brock and Melissa Wilson; 11 Great Grandchildren; A host of treasured family & friends also survive her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Brock will conducted at 1:00 P.M. ~ Tuesday ~ Jan. 1, 2013 at the New Hope Community Church ~ Warbranch, KY. with Mitchell Brock, Doug Napier and Earnest Brock officiating. The interment will follow in the Brock Family Cemetery ~ Helton, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Nelson Brock, Isaac Brock, Billy "Mac" Napier, Aundra Brock and Denver Brock.
